Passport Features
-
Mobile ID and Mobile Network ID
Radio units on a system are assigned a Mobile Identity Number and a
Group ID. The system is capable of 60,000 usable ID Codes per system.
-
Electronic Serial Number
A unique ESN is programmed into each radio by the Manufacturer and
cannot be changed by the dealer or radio user. The ESN can be read
on-command from the system.
-
Wide Area Smart Dispatch Networking
The PassPort protocol supports wide area group dispatch. Network
dispatch call set-up times are typically less than 0.4 seconds.
-
Automatic Roaming
PassPort radios may automatically roam between sites on a network and
between Affiliated Networks. Roaming radios will automatically register
and de-register when switching between sites.
Industry Standard
Trident Micro Systems has licensed the PassPort
trunking protocol to many leading manufacturers and new licensees are
being added regularly. The wide acceptance of PassPort by multiple
manufacturers of subscriber unit radios assures system operators and
end users of a wide array of brand choices and features when selecting
trunked radios.
